Being a bellydancer, I can give some advice.
Usually the makeup is done Egyptian-style. Line your eyes top and bottom, and do a wingtip (the little line that extends from the corner of your eye) but don’t stretch it really far out; it just looks ridiculous then.
You can go two ways with makeup depending what you like best. Blue eyeshadow is often done for an egyptian look, because crushed lapis was used in ancient egypt as eyeshadow and lapis is a deep rich blue. Otherwise, go with warm tones; use a golden or bronze eyeshadow, and a peach or gold lipstick.
