Is 3 years old too young for makeup for a party?

It’s another 3-year old birthday party and the mom wants the little girls as princesses. I have never put makeup on my daughter, what do you guys think?

Thanks.

my daughter is only a year and a half and is constantly poking around in my makeup there is no problem if they fool around with lip gloss and eye shadow and blush etc. as long as you aren’t giving her like eyeliner or foundation

Yes. You can make your daughter a princess without make up

If it is a one day thing I dont see why it would be bad… but it is up to you… are you comfortable with that?

To be on the safe side stay away from eye liners – lipstick, blush and shadow can be pretty safe.

well yes i think it’s too young for make-up but a little lipgloss should be ok if you’re comfortable with that :) have fun! :D

For my daughter’s 4 year old party we went to the kids salon and they got eye shadow, nail polish and princess hair. Nothing tarty just a little girlish glitter

Princesses don’t need makeup. I let our almost five-year old daughter wear glitter gel stuff once. It came in a goody-bag from a birthday party and I let her wear it with her fairy costume for halloween. I also let her apply it herself – very, very sparkly!

don’t put on any lipstick or eyeshadow, but put on little kid sparkly makeup

I don’t know my daughter is only two and has play make up–she doesn’t wear it out of the house though.

I don’t think you have to do make up but if you are like others have said stick to lip gloss, natural blush, light or natural shadow –be careful with glitter though it can get in their eyes.

Yes 3 is too young for make up. Dress her up as a princess in a pretty dress with a tiara. That is enough. Time for her to wear make up when she is grown up.,

Face painting is fine but why would anyone want to put adult make up on a toddler? When my daughter was young she loved having face paints on, and of course she loved playing with my make up at home – she covered her face in red lipstick one day, yes, her WHOLE face. Took about 3 days to come off!! I have a great photo of that lol
I think you should follow your own feelings on this one.

Do it! It dosen’t hurt her and its fun (I put make up on my 2 yr old – its the only way I can get my own on!) Just some shimmery eyeshadow and blush. CUTE!
    Paint her nails too.
