She said I was paying more attention to the DR Form and the ponies than her, … or something like that.
How to apologize, is this behavior normal leading up to the Kentucky Derby – to pay more attention to the horses than ones significant other?

sometimes my wife says things similair to that. i just recently told her think about all the money im gonna win this derby. ya that gave her one hell of a good laugh. she said dont you mean all the money that you will lose. but ya she should have seen it coming, one of the first dates i brought her on was the 05 Belmont Stakes. the best advice I could give you is to win, when you win some bucks on the horses they love it. its when you lose that they complain.
Ohhhhhh brother. Got yourself in a mess huh? Take her to dinner for a nice evening. For one thing, this will prove to her that in spite of the upcoming Derby, you still put her first, and it will be time you are not looking at the DRF. Appologize to her and tell her you were just all caught up in the moment and didn’t mean to ignore her. We all get caught up in the moment at one time or another. She will forgive you, and all will be well. Good luck
sounds like she ties up easy. i’d drop her in for a tag.
