I bought my granddaughter a child’s Princess makeup kit and she got it all over a new shirt. I sprayed it with Oxiclean, let it sit, then washed it with a load of wash. It’s still in there. Any ideas?

Oxyclean doesn’t work on oil base stains. Dawn dish washing detergent is the best thing to break up oil stains with. Pre-spot full strength with Dawn and let it soak in for 20 minutes and then wash in warm water. I hope that you didn’t put it in the dryer because the dryer bakes the stains in and makes it almost impossible to remove.

I’m a big fan of the spray ‘n wash stain stick for removing make-up- apply it then let it sit for a while, then spend a few minutes massaging it into the fabric before washing it in is as hot, soapy water as you think the fabric can handle- oil-based stains are easiest removed with hot water. Do not put it into the dryer until the stain is removed- even if it means washing it several times.
Dish soap, any brand. I use dawn though… You saturate the stain with the soap and rub it in pretty hard, then let stand for 20 minutes before washing. It should come clean.
