@LadyJezz84 use tweezers to help place it closer to ur lash line. than use the end of the tweezers to push the lashes even closer. its alot harder with hands. if ur still having issues try applying small amounts of glue to ur eyelids, right on the lash line. than apply falsies. dont recommend that as much but it actually helped me when i was learning.
